Minimum Number Policy

The Tamisa has a Minimum number policy for weddings parties at Weekends :

(Fridays & Saturdays) : Minimum number is 50 persons, Inc Children). Our Wedding Co-ordinator will be happy to quote you for numbers less than this.

Food & Beverage Policy

Only Food & Beverages purchased in the Hotel may be consumed in the Public areas. If Beverages are brought into the hotel for consumption, then a Corkage charge of 15€ per bottle will be added, or the sum equal to the Tamisa selling price.

Late Bar Opening Charges

The Hotel bar will close at 2am for wedding parties. This can be extended with prior agreement and an extra hourly rate (costs may vary depending on numbers).

Entertainment & Noise Levels

The Tamisa reserves the right to close the Bar and terminate the wedding and / or reduce noise levels prior to the agreed stated time, if the situation demands it.

Block Bedroom Booking Policy

In order to block off all 24 bedrooms & Junior-Suites, an additional deposit of 1,000 Euros is required. Each guest will need to confirm their individual reservations with a deposit of one night. All 24 bedrooms must be confirmed with deposits 4 months prior to the wedding date, after this time unconfirmed rooms will be released for sale to the general public.

Alternatively, the blocked off rooms can be held indefinitely and the bride and groom will be charged for all rooms which have not been occupied.

This deposit of 1000 Euros will be fully refundable once all 24 rooms have been reserved by wedding guests secured with 1 nights deposit at agreed room rates

Exclusive Use Policy

The Tamisa (outdoor terraces) can be reserved on an “exclusive” basis for the duration of the wedding party Banquet & Dancing, at an agreed fixed sum of “1500.00€”

To qualify, there must be a minimum number of 50 persons attending the wedding party, and all 24 Hotel Bedrooms must be reserved / and / or paid for.

The Tamisa reserves the right to have other functions / hotel guests on the terraces at the same time – unless prior agreement has been confirmed as above.

Responsibility of Wedding Guests

The Bride & Groom accept full responsibility for the actions of any of their guests during the event.

Final Number of Guests

Final number of guests will be required 7 days prior to the event. The Client will be billed for the number advised, or actual number on the day – whichever is greater.

Payment Terms (Cash, Credit Card or Bank Transfer)

Wedding Parties 1000€ deposit secures the wedding date.

4 months before Event: 40% of Pro-Forma Invoice
1 Month before Event: Full & Final Payment
Wedding Extras: On arrival, credit card details will be required.

Tamisa Cancellation Policy

In the unfortunate circumstances of having to cancel your event, then the following cancellation terms will apply :

All Wedding Deposits / Payments are Non-Refundable (unless with prior agreement)

If the event is cancelled after full payment has been received (1 month prior), or between 1 and 4 months prior to the event, then no monies will be refunded unless the hotel secures another booking to the same / similar value.

Cancellation Policy Insurance

We strongly recommend that insurance is taken out in order to cover for cancellations and any eventuality. (www.weddinginsurance.ie)

Change to another date

In the event of a change to another date (pending availability), then all deposits will be transferred across.

Health, Safety & The Environment

The swimming pool will be closed during weddings, however the indoor pool will remain open.

Sky lanterns, candles & table confetti are not permitted. However, bio-degradable confetti is allowed in the Ceremony area and we can provide electronic candles around the pool for a small fee if required.
